Promotion of Communism and Socialism in India

Communism was a reaction to the exploitation done by Capitalism. Actually, with the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, the exploitation of workers and labourers was in miserable condition. So, the workers failed to understand the real reason for their suffering. So, they started destroying industries.

In this, they got the leadership of Luddites and This movement was Luddite Movement. Communism got its prophet in the second half of the 19th century. It was Karl Marx. According to Karl Marx, the section of society which controls the means of production is the ruling section. Example,

An explanation for the Communism: Karl Marx

As the means of production and ruling power is one particular class. So, it naturally leads to the exploitation of the working class. So, in this situation, Marx appealed to the working class to unite and occupy the political power in the nation. Communism also wanted to end the concept of private property. So, this is a kind of death for Capitalism.

This was because when communism comes, the means of production will come under the control of the people. Therefore they will turn to rule class and a stateless society will be there. But in practicality, Marxian Philosophy was an extreme philosophy, which is generally not accepted by society. So, this prepared the ground for socialism.

The associates of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association were having the influence of Marxian Communism because of the Russian Revolution.

Socialism

According to Socialism, key industries in the nation should be in the hands of the government. The government should play a major role in providing the right to employment and equal opportunity to everyone. So, the communist leaders of the 20th century took the keyword, ‘means of production, and mould it according to their requirements.
